8520 Unlock Instructions

Follow these Step-By-Step Instructions. You can also watch the Free Blackberry 8520 unlock video that shows you this step by step guide in video format.

Insert a SIM Card into the Phone. Make sure that your phone's battery is fully charged.

Power the Phone ON by holding down the End Key.

Press the Blackberry Menu Key and Select the Spanner Icon labelled either "Options" or "Settings".

Scroll down to second option labelled "Advanced Options"

Scroll down and Select the Option labelled "SIM Card"

Now you will see some text on screen. Enter via the Keypad "MEPD"
Do this by pressing key, key, key key.

Note: When typing over the screen you will not see anything
appear on the screen as you type.

The Display should show "SIM Card: Security Disabled" and should either show "Network" as "Active" or "Service Provider" as "Active".

Note: This screenshot is not shown on all firmware versions.
If you don't see this screen - proceed to Step 9.

If "Network" shows as "Active" - Click Here to Continue. Otherwise proceed to Step 9.
